We are recruiting for a 3D Animator / Artist / Artworker ideally with games design experience to join a growing design team based in Melksham and along with the current team be responsible for producing 2D, 3D and interactive computer generated design plans for presentation to prospective customers.
Our Client has a 20 year history in coming up with engaging and exciting design solutions that offer the wow factor and target user engagement, they are now looking to take this to the next level by producing interactive 3D game inspired design plans that enable the customer to visualise from a ground perspective, to walk around and interact with various parts of the design which will be a unique proposition for the Company.
This will ensure a challenging, varied and exciting role where you will be involved in all aspects of the design mix and your input and designs will be key to the performance and continued growth of the business. You will need to be creative and have a task driven mindset whilst being able to manage your creative output in line with team targets.
You will be working closely with the artworking team, sales team and customer to ensure the accuracy of the design and that the brief is fully met. The estimated time split will be 10% 2D Design, 70% 3D Modelling (3Dmax) and 20% game design using Unreal Engine.
For this role you will need to be BA / BSc Degree qualified in Animation / Design or equivalent and have experience of graphical or artworking design, if you have game design experience then that would be an advantage, have experience as working as part of a team, be IT literate and confident in project managing all the elements of the product design process.
You will need to be an innovative and creative thinker that can approach new designs with gusto, design flair and commercial acumen to ensure that designs offer the best value for money, be highly self-motivated, with a creative vision and flair, have the ability to manage a number of complex projects and ideally thrive under that level of pressure, have strong presentation, sketching and communication skills, actively contribute to creative discussions surrounding new features and user experience and a knowledge of preparing assets for a game engine environment as well as a driving licence and being happy to travel to other Company sites and as required attend Client meetings.

3D Studio Max, V-Ray, CAD Tools, Adobe Creative Cloud including (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Acrobat), Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point & Project
Desirable experience (or willingness to learn) :
On offer for this role is a basic salary of up to £18,000 which is negotiable based on experience.
This role is open to those who have recently graduated as well as those with one or two years post-graduation experience.
