Due to business growth we are recruiting for a Playground Installer who will work as part of a two man team (Team Leader and Installer) assembling and installing outside learning / play equipment in schools, nurseries, academies, public spaces, new build housing development and other outdoor areas.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be based from home or from one of our Clients regional depots and be working mostly within a 70 mile radius of there, there will be the occasional need to stay away and if there is a specific requirement to travel further afield to install the play equipment.
You will be working from design plans to install a wide variety of timber and steel play and outdoor learning equipment which will include.
Installing play and outdoor learning equipment (including ground preparation).
Liaising with clients on site.
Following the installation instructions and design drawings to ensure correct placement of equipment.
Taking receipt of materials on site.
To be considered you must have :
Full UK Driving Licence.
Groundworks, labouring, landscaping and play equipment installation experience.
The ability to work as part of a small team, be self-motivated, trustworthy, a good communicator, reliable, with excellent time keeping ability, a good eye for detail and be competent in all aspects of installation, assembly, quality and finishing to ensure customer satisfaction.
A DBS Check
A flexible approach to working hours.
Be happy to travel and as required stay away.
If you have Digger or Dumper experience that would be an advantage.
A CSCS card (or be willing to take the test – current cost for that is £21).
There are job opportunities at both Installer and Team Leader level with the package for those as follows :
Basic salary from £24,000 – £30,000 dependent on job level and experience plus overtime and an allowance for staying away.
